- Relational, an authentic community where everyone belongs
- Passionate about justice and mercy, with a heart for the marginalized, refugee and immigrant.
- We are a community that values diversity; we desire to be multi-ethnic, inter-generational and we encourage diversity of backgrounds within our leadership.
Our dream is for all in north Seattle and beyond to experience the grace and mercy of God and to be transformed into the image of God. We believe we are blessed to bless others and so we strive to bless the greater north Seattle community in tangible ways.
Back in 2011, we started as a small group that met in our living room. We called ourselves Seed. Over the course of meeting, we realized that all of us in the group had to some extent experienced dissatisfaction with or hurt in the church. At the same time we were hungry for God’s love and to be a part of His mission of love to the world. Rather than throwing out the bathwater with everything in it, we joined the Evangelical Covenant Church and became Renew Covenant Church, embodying an identity and vision for being “a community being formed in the way of Christ and carrying this beauty into the world.” We are a chill, community-oriented, relationally-driven people of faith who are excited about living authentic lives that embody love, mercy, and hope in ways that are meaningful to our neighbors.
| OUR FOUNDING VERSE|
They will be called Oaks of Righteousness,
planted by the Lord to glorify himself.
They will rebuild the ancient ruins;
they will restore formerly deserted places;
they will renew ruined cities,
places deserted in generations past.
